Ryan A. Bartholomew, MD

Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Ryan Bartholomew is a graduate of Duke University where he studied neuroscience and philosophy. Conducting neuroscience research in the Yin Lab, he remained at Duke for an additional year following graduation. He then earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School.

From his time at Duke, he has published several articles investigating the contributions of the basal ganglia to modulating behavior using optogenetic and 3-dimensional motion capture techniques in mice. At Harvard Medical School, he was involved in clinical research in otolaryngology.

He is interested in translation research, surgical innovation, and medical education.
