Dr. Ralph Metson’s primary research interests include clinical outcomes of sinus surgery, genetic basis of chronic sinusitis, and endoscopic approaches to the orbit and optic nerve.
He earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. He then completed his general surgery internship at Huntington Memorial Hospital, his otolaryngology residency at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a research fellowship at Mass Eye and Ear/Harvard Medical School.
