Kimberly Wei, MD, grew up in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. She graduated magna cum laude from Yale University with a degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. Before medical school, she attended a two-year Bible truth and church service training program in Anaheim, California. Prior to pursuing medicine, she competed internationally in ice dance, representing Hungary at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships.

Dr. Wei earned her medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with a Certificate of Academic Surgery. During medical school, she led a basic science research project under the mentorship of Ryan Carey, MD, investigating the role of bitter taste receptors in inducing apoptosis in papillary thyroid cancer. She also conducted clinical research across several areas of otolaryngology, including pediatric ENT, rhinology, and head and neck surgery. Her work has been presented at national and international meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Wei's interests include translational research and medical education. She hopes to pursue an academic career that integrates patient care, research, and mentorship.
