Brikha Shrestha, PhD

Dr. Brikha Shrestha is an investigator at Mass Eye and Ear. He earned his PhD from the Doctoral Program in Neurobiology and Behavior at Columbia University. He then completed his postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School. His many honors include receiving the Young Scientist Transitions Award from the Harvard Brain Science Initiative, and receiving both the Edward R. and Anne G. Lefler Postdoctoral Fellowship and the Leonard and Isabelle Goldenson Postdoctoral Fellowship from Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Shrestha uses cutting-edge molecular genetic approaches to lead research at the intersection of sensory coding and neural plasticity. A long-term interest of his laboratory is to elucidate mechanisms at play over evolutionary time compared to the life of an organism.
