Alan D. Workman, MD, MTR
Dr. Alan Workman grew up in Westfield, New Jersey, and graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University with a degree in psychology. Following his undergraduate work, he matriculated at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine as a 21st Century Scholar. While there, he also obtained his Master’s in Translational Research (MTR). He’s a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and is a recipient of the Kimmelman Prize and Mary Ellis Bell Prize for research in otolaryngology.
While at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Workman worked with Dr. Noam Cohen and the Division of Rhinology on several basic science and clinical research projects, and he received grant funding from the National Institutes of Health to study airway innate immune defense and physiology.
His research experiences include the study of cellular signaling and ciliary dynamics in the airway, development of diagnostics and therapeutics for chronic rhinosinusitis, and analysis of treatment and surveillance paradigms in sinonasal malignancy.
