The Harvard Medical School Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery recently hosted its second biennial Comprehensive Otolaryngology CME course at Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston. Directed by faculty members Nicolas Y. BuSaba, MD, John M. Dobrowski, MD, FACS, and Gregory W. Randolph, MD, FACS, FACE, this course was designed to address the practice gaps and educational needs of general otolaryngologists.

Over two and a half days, the course faculty covered all aspects of otolaryngology: rhinology, sleep surgery, facial plastics, otology, pediatric otolaryngology, laryngology, head and neck surgical oncology, and thyroid/parathyroid disorders. The 36 registrants came from a wide geographic area, with attendees from the U.S., Canada, Spain, Japan, and overseas U.S. territories.

"This course was well-organized and I think the participants really enjoyed it. One of the participants from Japan said this course was designed so efficiently and was clinically relevant for her practice. Another attendee from Canada asked me if he could come to shadow us. It was nice for me to be able to meet new people in our otolaryngology community," said Linda N. Lee, MD, course faculty member.
