Originally from Potomac, Maryland, Dr. Kushi Ranganath graduated *summa cum laude* from Johns Hopkins University, where she studied neuroscience and public health and completed a Woodrow Wilson Undergraduate Research Fellowship. She subsequently earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School.

At Harvard, Dr. Ranganath researched diagnostic biomarkers of head and neck cancer at the Mike Toth Head and Neck Cancer Research Center under the mentorship of Matthew Naunheim, MD, MBA, and Srinivas Vinod Saladi, PhD. She also conducted research on the epidemiology of HPV-related oropharyngeal cancer under the mentorship of Eleni M. Rettig, MD, at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Her research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Mass Eye and Ear focused on patient-reported outcomes and quality of life after reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Ranganath’s interests include precision medicine and biomarkers, patient-centered outcomes and surgical innovation. Her work has been featured in national, peer-reviewed journals such as Cancers, Head &amp; Neck and Oral Oncology, among others.
