Dr. Eleni Rettig is a head and neck surgeon at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard Medical School. She specializes in the surgical treatment of head and neck cancers, salivary gland tumors, cutaneous malignancies, and thyroid tumors; transoral robotic surgery; and microvascular reconstruction of the head and neck.

Dr. Rettig’s research is focused on leveraging minimally invasive biomarkers to optimize early detection, management and post-treatment surveillance of head and neck cancers, in particular HPV-positive oropharynx cancers. Her research interests also include head and neck cancer epidemiology and health-related quality of life among head and neck cancer patients.

Dr. Rettig is a graduate of Yale University and received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. She completed residency training in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins followed by a fellowship in advanced head and neck oncologic and reconstructive surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
