He provides care to adult and pediatric patients for all ear, nose, and throat conditions. His clinical interests include chronic sinusitis, nasal obstruction, and hearing loss. Dr. Alkire's research interests include developing economic models to understand the costs and benefits of expanding surgical capacity in low- and middle-income countries. Given his interests in global health initiatives, he works closely with the Program in Global Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, along with a Masters in Public Health (Global Health concentration) from the T.H. Chan Harvard School of Public Health.
