Ansley Kunnath, MD, PhD, is a physician-scientist from Allentown, New Jersey. She graduated *summa cum laude* from the Rutgers University Honors College before completing her MD and PhD in Neuroscience through the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

Dr. Kunnath's research has focused on understanding and enhancing neuroplasticity following hearing loss. Under the mentorship of Mark Wallace, PhD, and René Gifford, PhD, she developed and evaluated novel interventions to improve speech understanding for cochlear implant recipients, including audiovisual perceptual training and cholinergic drug therapy. Her work includes prospective randomized clinical trials, basic neuroscience experiments, translational neuroimaging studies, and health outcomes research. Supported by an NIH F30 National Research Service Award, she has authored more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications and received national recognition for her research. During medical school, Dr. Kunnath was awarded the David L. Zealear, PhD Otolaryngology Scholar-Initiative Award and inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Dr. Kunnath's current interests include cochlear implantation, auditory neuroscience, and advancing health equity.
