Alicia Wang, MD, grew up in Brookfield, Connecticut and graduated *magna cum laude* from Princeton University with a BSE in chemical and biological engineering. There, she was a member of the women’s rugby team, earning consecutive bronze medals at the USA Rugby College National 7s Championships. Prior to medical school, Dr. Wang conducted research at Boston Children’s Hospital on peripheral vestibular disorder management and pediatric cochlear implant outcomes under the mentorship of Jacob Brodsky, MD, and Greg Licameli, MD.

Dr. Wang earned her medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (VP&S), where she was the recipient of the Edward T. Bello, MD award. While at VP&S, she studied quality-of-life outcomes in sinonasal diseases and antibiotic prescribing practices with Jonathan Overdevest, MD, PhD. She also conducted computational solid organ biomechanics research with Kristin Myers, PhD, and pursued a scholarly project in narrative medicine, developing a life-story-based history-taking curriculum for first-year medical students.

Dr. Wang’s interests include biomechanics, materials science, precision medicine, and cancer survivorship. A classically trained pianist, she also has interests in music in medicine and narrative medicine.
