[Dr. Regan W. Bergmark](https://www.masseyeandear.org/research/investigators/b/bergmark-regan), the Gliklich Healthcare Innovation Scholar at Mass. Eye and Ear/Harvard Medical School, published an invited commentary in *JAMA*. Co-authored by Melissa Ann Pynnonen, MD, MS, from the University of Michigan, this piece discusses a study by Rudmik et al on the utilization patterns of topical intranasal steroid therapy for chronic sinusitis in the Canadian population. The commentary addresses the importance of using established guidelines to correctly diagnose chronic sinusitis and also discusses first line treatment.
