 **Triological Combined Sections Meeting**

Our department had excellent representation in San Diego at the 2019 Triological Mid-Winter Meeting last month. There were dozens of outstanding presentations by our faculty members, residents, fellows, and trainees, in addition to several poster presentations.

Notably, Chief Resident [Rosh Sethi, MD, MPH](https://www.masseyeandear.org/education/otolaryngology/residency/residents/sethi), was awarded the Richard J. Bellucci, MD, Resident Research Award.

**Association for Research in Otolaryngology Mid-Winter Meeting**

This week, we were also well-represented at the 42nd annual Association for Research in Otolaryngology (ARO) Mid-Winter Meeting. Held in Baltimore, Maryland, our otolaryngology faculty contributed more than 147 poster and podium presentations. Covering topics from tracking cortical map reorganization following acoustic trauma ([Ed Hight](https://scholar.harvard.edu/polleylab/people/ariel-edward-hight)) to delivering bone-binding brain-derived neurotrophic factor to remove hearing after noise damage ([Dr. David Jung](/people/david-jung)), all contributions were well received and ground breaking in many ways.

Most notably, one of the newest members to our research community, Anton Lee (the son of Drs. [Daniel Lee](/people/daniel-lee) and [Judith Kempfle](https://connects.catalyst.harvard.edu/Profiles/display/Person/12134)) made an appearance!
