[Elizabeth Noyes, MD,](https://oto.hms.harvard.edu/people/elizabeth-noyes-md) a PGY-4 otolaryngology–head and neck surgery (OHNS) resident at Harvard Medical School, has been awarded a 2026 New England Otolaryngological Society (NEOS) Resident Research Grant.

Every year, the NEOS awards several research grants to residents at accredited OHNS training programs in New England and Albany. [According to the NEOS](https://neos-ent.org/Research#:~:text=Resident%20Research%20Award%20The%20purpose%20of%20the%20NEOS,be%20complete%20within%201-2%20years%20from%20grant%20award.), the grants support self-initiated research projects over a one-to-two-year period. Dr. Noyes will use this grant to support her work to better understand pathways of surgical care and the perioperative experience among patients experiencing homelessness.

She is working in collaboration with colleague [Lucy Xu, MD,](https://oto.hms.harvard.edu/people/lucy-xu-md) and mentor [Gregory W. Randolph, MD, FACS, FACE](https://oto.hms.harvard.edu/people/gregory-randolph).
